FALCONS DOUBLE TRIUMPH: UNDER 15'S WIN GRAND FINAL!!!
If the Falcons were in celebration mode after last week's Grand Final win by the Under 13 team,
they have now reached FEVER PITCH as our Under 15 Team have won their Grand Final
to become MSJFL Division 3 Premiers for 2010!
Arch rivals St. Kilda City, who had won through to the Grand Final after beating Hampton
Green by 27 points in last week's preliminary final, must have thought they would wipe the
floor with the Falcons, given that our boys only beat Hampton by a solitary point the week
prior in our semi-final match.
Unfortunately for them, they had badly misjudged the Mount Waverley Falcons! A dominant
first quarter saw our boys completely destroy St.Kilda's natural game: namely, to dominate
the centre and clear the ball out to the forward line.So dominant were our boys that St.Kilda
did not manage to score until the 18 minute mark of the first quarter with a goal to the
Falcons three!
From here, the damage was done: despite occasional flashes of brilliance, St.Kilda never
managed to get in front. By three quarter time, they were 30 points down, and were in
serious trouble. It was then they learned the difference between a team that relies on a
few stars, and one that has a few stars, but a full list of contributors. The Mighty Falcons
never let up on the pressure, and ended up winning by 42 points, the final scores being
9 13 67 to 3 7 25!
To Paul, Jim and everyone on the Team....our heartiest congratulations on the win...it is
truly deserved for what is undoubtedly the best team in the competition. To everyone
that came to support our boys...friends, other team members...our undying gratitude!
You have shown what it is that makes the Mount Waverley Junior Football Club such a
great one!
We now invite everyone to Presentation Day at Mayfield Park on the 12th of September
at 12:00, where we can thank everyone in the whole Club for their efforts throughout
the year, and relive our recent glories.

FALCONS FLY IN MSJFL BEST & FAIREST!
MIGHTY FALCONS UNDER 13'S TRIUMPH !!!The Falcons are in celebration mode as our Under 13 team defeated arch rivals St.Peters by 18 points to claim the Under 13 North Premiership!!! A very hard fought game saw the scores close for most of the match: indeed, the scores were level for much of the third quarter. But the boys really lifted in the last quarter and overwhelmed their opponents, winning 41 points to 23! Our heartiest congratulations to coach Joe Nanfra, Team Manager Manola Parissi, and especially to all the players of the Under 13 Team for their fantastic finish to a great season!! GO FALCONS!!!!!!!!!!Important Dates for your Diary: PLEASE READ!AGM Date Announced The Club's Annual General Meeting will be held at Mayfield Park at 7:30pm on Monday September 6th. PLEASE come and support your Club: everyone is welcome, and you can have a say in helping make the Falcons even stronger for next year! Presentation Day Presentation Day will be held at Mayfield Park on Sunday September 12th at 12:00 mid-day. There will be trophy presentations, Best & Fairest awards, Sausage sizzle and much more! Bring the whole family and be part of the fun as we recognise the Club's achievements throughout the year and say thank you to everyone who helped make it happen!
